Sam Rizzio Youth Fly-Fishing Instruction & Conservation Awareness Clinic

The comprehensive fly-fishing clinic is designed to teach young men and women, ages 10 to 15, Fly-casting, Knot tying, Insect identification, Trout habitat, Water conservation

The Clinic:

UCCTU mentors will instruct the youth. Upon attending and completing Saturday’s event, those students are eligible to fish with UCCTU instructors the following Sunday, April 19th. And, those students completing the first event and attend the fishing event will receive a complimentary FREE fly rod and reel to fish with and take home!

The clinic will be limited to 36 students and is offered at a cost of only $20 per student. Parents or guardians may observe the clinic or drop-off the student and pick them up no later than 1:30 PM.

What to Bring:
  • Weather appropriate outdoor clothing,
  • A brimmed hat
  • Sunglasses or prescription glasses (mandatory safety item)
  • Insect repellent, and sunscreen
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Students who prefer to use their own fly rod may do so…no hooks.
